Sherry Sevey

Sherry is currently the Operations Manager at the Midland Emergency Communication District. Her experience includes six years with the 9-1-1 District performing various tasks, with the digitized mapping system being her primary responsibility and working with the rural community to assign physical addresses. In the past, she has worked at length with Public Education programs on 9-1-1 matters?active with schools, boy scouts, safety fairs and special groups.

Her main interests are her husband, Jim, a sergeant with the Midland Police Department and her three children, Jeremy, Ashley and Matthew and two ?fur-children? Miss Kitty and Marshall Dillon. She also enjoys quiet time, working on church projects, reading, swimming, skiing and golfing. Traveling with her husband once a year to a place they have neither one been to before is truly the highlight of her year.

Sherry?s goals this year as West Regional Coordinator are to let the West Texans? voice be heard in the changing world of 9-1-1 and to share with the rest of the state the many talents and the visions they have in the West. “We have a wonderful board for 1998-1999 and we hope to accomplish many things during our term to make this Chapter one of the best in the United States.”
