Bob has more than thirteen years in Public Safety (911) and has been the Executive Director for Montgomery County 911 since June 15, 1998. Prior to moving to Texas he worked for the State of New Mexico for eight years as their E-911 Director. He also has over twenty-seven years experience in operations, administration, engineering and training within the communication industry.
Bob represents the District as its chief executive officer in all dealings with governing bodies, other organizations, individuals and the public. He strives to cultivate and strengthen partnerships among the District, Montgomery County, local governments and special districts by promoting good public relations, while providing excellent leadership. He has strengthened the Districts ability to better serve Montgomery Countys residents by providing improved services, thus improving the quality of life for all citizens. Montgomery County 911 is one of the few 911 Districts within Texas employing tele-communicators (911 call takers). The District also provides addressing and mapping services for the County. In 1999 the District built a consolidated communication center and in 2000 the District deployed Texass first all digital PSAP, utilizing a Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN).
