Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network |
Tino serves as the Fiscal Officer for the Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network, having joined the Network in 1996. Tino handles all financial matters for the Network; he is responsible for the Networks accounting system, payroll, purchasing, revenue projections, budgeting, and maintaining the Networks five-year financial plan. The Networks annual budget is approximately $36 million, which is used to support systems and equipment for 47 cities and two counties. Over 150 police, fire and EMS agencies serving approximately 3.8 million citizens in the Houston metropolitan area provide response for citizens calling 9-1-1. In addition, Tino has provided accounting assistance for several projects undertaken by emergency communication districts in Texas. Tinos career in accounting began in 1988 when he earned his Bachelor in Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from Corpus Christi State University; during 1992, he became a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining the Network, Tino worked at the Harris County Auditors Office for seven years. Tino and his wife, Josie, have two children: Chase, age 14 and Elyse, age 6. |
