In 1980 the Stanford Research Institute issued a report forthe Department of Justice entitled “The Design and Costingof 9-1-1 Systems. That report provided information which relatesto determining how many call takers are required in order toanswer a certain percentage of calls within a prescribed timeperiod. The study contained a “chart” that showed thenumber of call takers that are required in order to answer 90percent of incomming 9-1-1 calls within 10-seconds.
Is anyone aware of a more recent study on this subject?
