I am one of 4 clerk/dispatchers employed by the municipalityof Central Saanich on Vancouver Island British Columbia. We worka schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off – 2 dayshifts from 0700 to1900 then 2 nightshifts from 1900 to 0700. I have worked thisschedule for 16 years and I love it. The hardest part of thiswork schedule is the nights – we work alone and have to keepawake which is a problem for some. We also employ 3 casualdispatchers that cover our holidays etc, they are strictly oncall. If you need any more information please contact medirectely.
