AT&T Language Line

The Alabama Chapter is especially proud of a program created by one of our Past Presidents, Bill Brodeur. Bill arranged for ALNENA to have a contract with the AT&T Language Line which allows each member agency to use the translation service without having their own separate account.

Bill’s idea saves each member agency $600 per year, the cost of a private Language Line account! This also allows us to serve the non-English speaking members of our communities more effectively.

Agencies are billed by the Chapter for the amount of translation services they actually use, if the amount exceeds the minimum included with the account. This is a tremendous member benefit and makes this valuable service cost effective for even the smallest 9-1-1 center.
