SENATE BILL NO. 276

A Public body shall not be required to disclose:

Any record compiled for investigatory purposes or the disclosure of which would interfere with investigative or enforcement activities, reveal the identity of a confidential source or undercover agent or endanger the life or safety of any person, and any record pertaining to an identifiable individual kept by:

any law enforcement agency except to the extent that the record discloses the name, address, age, race, sex or physical description of an arrestee; the date of arrest; the charge and the court in which the charge is filed; location of the offense; disposition of the charge; or date of arrestee’s release from detention;

any public body pursuant to any administrative adjudication or civil litigation if the record was compiled in the process of investigating violations of civil law or administrative rules or regulations;

a jail or correctional or other penal facility except to the extent that the record discloses the name, sentence data, parole eligibility date, discipline record, custody level or location of an inmate;

any other public institution or facility except to the extent that the record discloses the name, entry date, location or date of release of an individual;
