13.4 APPENDIX D – TDD/TTY PRE-PROGRAMMED MESSAGES
Introduction
TDD/TTY devices shall be configured with the following set ofdefault
pre-programmed messages. The devices shall allow the customer tomodify
the default pre-programmed messages as appropriate.
Default Pre-Programmed Messages
The following messages are examples provided by a task forcewithin the
hearing impaired community in terms of wording that may beunderstood by
the widest range of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population.
The underline following the “GA” represents a space.Some messages
require further inquiry or directive to follow what ispre-programmed,
as indicated by “?”
