FULL TIME TELECOMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISOR

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Telecommunications Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Telecommunicators involved in dispatching fire, emergency medical and law enforcement units in response to request for assistance. 

Must be 18 years of age or older; high school diploma or equivalent, must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have 3 years dispatching experience.

Must be willing and able to work irregular hours, rotating shifts, holidays and weekends. 

Must meet standards on pre employment exams, oral board interview and back ground investigation. 

Entry level annual salary $36,000.00.

CONSULTANT WANTED – WILL COUNTY

The Will County 9-1-1 System is contemplating the consolidation of its nine(9) dispatch centers into one, two, or three, regional centers serving the 800 square miles and 50 emergency agency throughout this collar county. 

To inform and educate the emergency community, as well as, public officials, it is our intent to conduct a series of public hearings and workshop to brings out the pros & cons of central dispatch and to give all citizens and service providers the opportunity to question our actions. 

Will County, therefore, is searching for a a consultant familiar with forming a central dispatch service. The chosen consultant would assist with the hearings and workshops and work with the eventual architect to design and equip the physical building.
