2007 NENA TDC/ODC

Set in the exuberant Nashville downtown environment, NENA’s 2007 Technical and Operational Development Conferences will be held January 21-24 at the (Marriott) Renaissance Hotel, located just about next door to the historic Ryman Auditorium and within a very short walking distance of many other fascinating, exciting and entertaining venues. The two premiere events will include a Next Generation 9-1-1 focus which will help set the tone and direction for other NENA events throughout the concluding months of its 25th year anniversary and beyond. A special pre-conference event will be the first national offering of NENA’s newest educational endeavor, the Introduction to NG 9-1-1 course.
2007 TDC dates/hours will be Sunday, January 21, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., specific committee meetings (consult agenda for further details); Monday, January 22, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday, January 23, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Wednesday, January 24, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The 2007 ODC will include a strong focus on Next Generation 9-1-1 and its many operational issues from revised and new standard operating procedures to staffing needs, from expanded education for the community and PSAPs to disaster/survivability planning, from accessibility for all to determining address/location operational issues between PSAPs/9-1-1 governing entities and multiple and diverse providers/vendors. The ODC is designed to help 9-1-1 professionals learn about and improve on their overall 9-1-1 center operations. Each of the seven ODC tracks examines different topics and working issues related to operations during the three-day conference. Attendees are free to choose tracks that interest them.
2007 ODC dates/hours will be Monday, January 22, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday, January 23, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Wednesday, January 24, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
